May the real love stand up & take its seat at the front of life. Sit down hurt & suffering. Be quiet greed & selfishness. Leave the room takers Help love to the front kindness. Holder her hand compassion, kneel before her peace. Give her space to dance, joy. Let love through. We want to recognise her Just the way she is was always meant to be. - t.j.
Analysis
Love is too often romanticised under the disguise of selfishness, control and manipulation.
I wrote this poem some time ago, my heart was breaking, I was hurting.
The perspective is raw, it challenges the misrepresentations of love, pushing their way to the front of life, in an attempt to remove love from its rightful place.
It’s cautionary, a warning to not be misguided by the ways in which love’s purity is masked by toxic feelings, emotions, states of being & even force.
I’m redefining, standing as an advocate of love ‘as she was always meant to be’.
With love
